The International Group Project participants must be the IBO 2022 participants.
4-member teams will be formed that will include participants from different countries who have similar interests based on the topics they have selected. They are going to make a scientific research proposal on a selected topic and make a poster, which they will present to the juries on July 15 during the International Group Project Poster Session. The best projects will be awarded.

If you are selected by your country as a participant in the IBO 2022 and also wish to participate in the International Group Project, please fill in the registration form. (The deadline is June 6).
Overview
You can select at least 2 of the 5 topics listed below. Based on your selection you will be
included in a team with the same interest. Your team will work on one topic, which is one of the topics that you have selected when registering for International Group Project 2022. A facilitator will be assigned to your team who will be a university student, IBO alumna or a professional of the respective topic. The facilitator will help and guide your team during your work in June. The work will be done via online communication tools (emails, messages, video calls, etc.) and submitted as a PDF file poster by July 1st, 2022. You will present your scientific research proposal during the International Group Project Poster Session.
Topics
- Biomedicine
Study and find new applications of scientific discoveries in medicine, how would Biology address health and propose ideas for medical sciences.
- Bionics and Biomimicry
Examine how structures found in nature would be utilised by people in bioengineering and biomechanics or serve as prosthetics.
- Across Species
Study the relations of species and how they affect the environment. What are the interesting properties of the species and what scientific significance will they make?
- Molecular and Cell Biology
What molecular mechanisms work in certain physiological conditions? Study them and come up with creative solutions for different cellular processes and their applications in science.
- Bioinformatics and Artificial Intelligence
Examine biological data and analyse them with the help of computer tools.
